Q: Can you do a decorating plan for my home?
A: Yes, My Decorating Plan specializes in DECORATING PLANS. We will create a whole design plan for you that includes space planning, lighting, furniture selection, a color palette, accessorizing details, window treatment designs, and more.

Q: I don’t need new furniture, but want to rearrange what I have. What can you do?
A: We do provide SPACE PLANNING services. Using your existing pieces we will create a floor plan that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing.

Q: I need help picking out paint colors for my walls. Can you help?
A: Yes. We offer COLOR CONSULTATION services. We can select the right colors for your walls, as well as give you advice on how to create a complete color scheme using paint colors, fabrics and accessories.

Q: I have too much stuff! Can you help me Organize what I have?
A: Absolutely. ORGANIZATION, or de-cluttering, is one of our often-requested services. We team up with you to help you decide what you should keep in a room and what is not essential to your lifestyle. Then we take it a step further and rearrange what’s being kept- creating a functional space with a fresh look.

Q: I’d like to keep many of the furniture pieces in my room- isn’t that what they refer to as “Re-design”?
A: You’re right. When we “RE-DESIGN” a room we use the items you wish to keep as the basis of the new design and, if needed, add new pieces to fill-in and enhance what you already own. Re-design is a great way to retain “treasures”, substantially reduce decorating costs and still create a fabulous updated space.

Q: I would love a fancy faux finish on my walls, but I don’t have a lot of money to spend. What do you suggest?
A: My Decorating Plan offers an extensive collection of beautiful and innovative wallcoverings that are perfect for any decor, but easy to remove when you are ready for a change. Of those, faux finish WALLCOVERINGS are a perfect solution for getting a faux finish look without breaking your decorating budget.

Q: Do you help with room accessorizing?
A: We can help you arrange your existing ACCESSORIES and collections into a pleasing look, as well as help you select additional accessories to fill in where needed.

Q: All I want are window coverings. Will you do a small project?
A: As certified specialists in WINDOW TREATMENTS, we take pride in designing beautiful and functional window treatments. Our custom window treatments are carefully designed to fit your space, style and budget. Whether it be an entire home or office or just one window - no job is too small.

Q: Do I really need to spend money on lighting?
A: Always budget for LIGHTING. It is one of the most important elements in any room. You can have a beautifully designed room, but with poor lighting the room will not “shine” or function well.

Q: I am looking at replacing my flooring. Can you help with that?
A: We offer our clients a large selection of FLOORING possibilities – soft and hard surface – for every decor.

Q: What kind of furniture do you provide?
A: We have a variety of FURNITURE sources for every budget and for every room.

Q: Why should I consider buying custom bedding?

Q: I love to shop; can you create a design for me so I can shop for it?

This easy-to-use SHOPPING PLAN gives you the option to shop local bargains or find products on the Internet without making costly mistakes. Your custom Decorating Plan will give you the “road map” to shop for everything specified - as your time and budget permits. Of course, if you can’t find what you need elsewhere, My Decorating Plan can easily provide you with some or all the items listed on your Shopping Plan at competitive pricing.

Q: What and how do you charge for your services?
A: How we work with our clients depends on their needs and budget. We offer a complimentary initial consultation to determine what services and DESIGN FEE structure is best for our client.
