Ojai Lavender Festival Hosts My Decorating Plan Booth

The 2008 Ojai Lavender Festival was the venue for My Decorating Plan's popular "decorating survey" booth. Along with taking a survey on Festival visitor's decorating preferences, the My Decorating Plan decorators gave out complimentary lavender sachets and $50.00 gift certificates. At the close of the show a drawing was held for a beautiful Rachel Ashwell Shabby Chic rug. The winner of the drawing, a lucky Ventura woman, stated "I'm so surprised - I never win anything!".

My Decorating Plan Donates to Women's Economic Ventures (WEV )

On May 30, 2008, My Decorating Plan, a local interior decorating company, joined many other women-owned businesses in donating valuable gift bag items to the Ventura "Sex and the City" movie premiere event presented by several Ventura women-owned businesses, including Weaver Wines and Social Good Marketing. The gala premiere event proceeds benefited the Women's Economic Ventures (WEV), a non-profit organization that provides education and support to women owning or desiring to start a business. My Decorating Plan donated $50.00 gift certificates good for decorating product or services to each of the 250 premiere attendees.

My Decorating Plan Founder Awarded WEV Diploma.

Robin Sullivan, local interior decorator and owner of My Decorating Plan, was awarded a diploma by the Women's Economic Ventures/Small Business Loan Fund (WEV) for successful completion of the Self-Employment Training Program (STEP). The 14-week program includes detailed classroom training with rigorous outside study requirements covering various important business topics. The WEV program provides women business owners with the skills necessary to successfully manage, grow and sustain their businesses.
