The 2008 Ojai Lavender Festival was the venue for My Decorating Plan's popular "decorating survey" booth. Along with taking a survey on Festival visitor's decorating preferences, the My Decorating Plan decorators gave out complimentary lavender sachets and $50.00 gift certificates. At the close of the show a drawing was held for a beautiful Rachel Ashwell Shabby Chic rug. The winner of the drawing, a lucky Ventura woman, stated "I'm so surprised - I never win anything!".

On May 30, 2008, My Decorating Plan, a local interior decorating company, joined many other women-owned businesses in donating valuable gift bag items to the Ventura "Sex and the City" movie premiere event presented by several Ventura women-owned businesses, including Weaver Wines and Social Good Marketing. The gala premiere event proceeds benefited the Women's Economic Ventures (WEV), a non-profit organization that provides education and support to women owning or desiring to start a business. My Decorating Plan donated $50.00 gift certificates good for decorating product or services to each of the 250 premiere attendees.

Robin Sullivan, local interior decorator and owner of My Decorating Plan, has been named Chairperson of the Aviation Museum of Santa Paula 2008 Raffle Committee. The Raffle Committee is responsible for raffle details and marketing 1200 tickets for the raffle of a classic 1947 Stinson Voyager, or if the winner prefers, $20,000 in cash. Decorator Awarded Certificate for 3-Day Window Treatment Workshop

Mishanna Rischar, a decorator employed by My Decorating Plan, has received a certificate of completion for her attendance at a 3-day workshop sponsored by Carole Fabrics on window treatments and fabric selection. Ms. Rischar has been in the decorating industry for over five years and is a member of the American Society of Interior Designers and holds an AA Degree in Interior Design from Moorpark College and a BS Degree in interior design from Cal-State Northridge.
