Local Decorators are "Decorating for a Cause"

Robin Sullivan, owner of My Decorating Plan and Window Designs Plus, announces a joint company effort to help generate additional contributions to the non-profit charitable groups that provide services to our local communities. Sullivan explained, "We recently read an article stating that charitable contributions to local non-profits were way down this year. We know how important these non-profit services are to our local communities, so we wanted to try and help. What we came up with is a joint company project called Decorating for a Cause."

The premise behind Decorating for a Cause is simple. During the remainder of 2009, two percent (2%) of every sale made by My Decorating Plan and Window Designs Plus will be donated to a local non-profit charity selected by the customer.

"We are very excited to start this project. We hope we can generate some additional income for these important local services", stated Sullivan.

Robin Sullivan of My Decorating Plan will be joining Leslie and John Nichols of Mr. Nichols Gallery in donating the "nut and candy cups" for the Santa Paula Rotary 85th Anniversary celebration dinner at the Masonic Temple on April 27, 2009. A number of businesses highlighting home decorating, home construction and other home-related ventures will have booths at the show.

The schedule is noon to 6 p.m. today; 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

The 2008 Ojai Lavender Festival was the venue for My Decorating Plan's popular "decorating survey" booth. Along with taking a survey on Festival visitor's decorating preferences, the My Decorating Plan decorators gave out complimentary lavender sachets and $50.00 gift certificates. At the close of the show a drawing was held for a beautiful Rachel Ashwell Shabby Chic rug. The winner of the drawing, a lucky Ventura woman, stated "I'm so surprised - I never win anything!".
